Two copies of one picture, top and bottom
Stage 1 is a beach where animals have gathered. Compare the top and the bottom and look for what is different. There are 7 differences.
Spot the Difference: Animals is a puzzle where you compare the animal picture on top with the one below and find 7 differences. You play 150 stages in order. It works offline, and there is nothing to sign up for.

We follow the first stage, a beach scene, from the first tap to the star rating.
Stage 1 is a beach where animals have gathered. Compare the top and the bottom and look for what is different. There are 7 differences.

Spread two fingers to zoom up to 3x. The top and bottom pictures move together, so you can line up any spot and compare it closely. Tap where you think they differ.

Each difference you find is circled in both pictures. On this screen 3 are found, with one wrong tap so far, and the one hint that Standard gives is still unused.

Find all 7 and the stage is cleared. Stars depend on wrong taps plus hints used: 3 stars for none, 2 stars for 1 or 2, 1 star for 3 or more. This one had a single miss, so 2 stars.

All screens are from the actual app (stage 1).
In the first 50 stages, a difference is something that disappears, moves, is swapped for another object, or changes color. From stage 51, flipped and resized objects join in, and from stage 101 "disappeared" and "swapped" become much rarer. The numbers are the breakdown of all 1,050 differences across the 150 stages.
| Stages | Kinds of differences (count) | |
|---|---|---|
| 1‑50 | → | 4 kindsSwapped 93 · Disappeared 90 · Moved 88 · Color 79 |
| 51‑100 | → | 6 kindsMoved 80 · Swapped 78 · Color 59 · Disappeared 58 · Size 46 · Flipped 29 |
| 101‑150 | → | 6 kindsMoved 123 · Size 83 · Flipped 59 · Color 49 · Swapped 23 · Disappeared 13 |
"Swapped" means replaced by another picture from the same group.

Spot the Difference: Animals sticks to 150 stages and only animals.
Among spot-the-difference apps, many put the number of pictures up front: 1,000+ levels, 10,000+ pictures (store listings, October 2026). This one has 150 stages, and every picture is a cute animal scene. In return, the effort goes into not breaking the flow of play. No other mini-game sits between stages. A full-screen ad appears once every 3 plays. A video is only for when you choose to add lives, hints, or time.
The stages are inside the app, so it works without a connection. There is no account and no sign-in. Your progress is stored only on your device.
Relaxed (5 lives, 3 hints, no time limit), Standard (3 lives, 1 hint) or Hard (2 lives, no hints). A time limit starts at stage 51 (Standard 120 s, 90 s from stage 101). Relaxed has no time limit on any stage.
Ads are a banner plus a full-screen ad every 3 plays. A one-time purchase removes both (the price is shown on the purchase screen). It is not a subscription. Videos are only for adding hints, time, or lives, and only if you choose to watch.
What it does not do Hints are limited, not unlimited (Standard gives 1). From stage 51 there is a time limit (run out of time and a video adds 30 s). It is Android only for now, and the free version shows ads.
